Chau Pham is a writer, technologist, and founder working with defining technologies of the contemporary to shape selfhood, relationships, and culture. Having studied philosophy at the University of Chicago, she identified the tech industry as the primary site where contemporary life was being actively constructed. She spent a decade in engineering and product roles, observing how social platforms and algorithmic mediation reshaped not just how people take in information but also how they relate to themselves and others. Recognizing an ongoing erosion of the public sphere, she cofounded Self Engineering, a Restless Egg-incubated venture profiled in Dazed, to counteract that deterioration. With Psyche, she brings the same sensibility to a new domain: leveraging contemporary technology to make the ancient and richly interpretive tradition of astrology accessible to a wider audience and to help people deepen their journey of self-understanding and relational insight.
